Guest guest
We sometimes get these chills when we get very afraid or surprised. Why spine chills ? Major Chakraas of Kundalini are lined along spine. A very frightful or surprising event causes a emotion of great magnitude in us. The result is that it gives a kick to chakraas n kundalini. This makes the energy move. One of the reasons for the chilling experience of this energy is that our naadis are not fully open. Hence energy tries to flow but it doesn't do so in a balanced way owing to blockages in naadis. So we get chilling experiences. In a kudalini awakened person these chills are warm and much stronger. Something which shake u from head to toe. Yestaerday i was talking to a friend. He happened to have visited a person who seems to be ahead on the spiritual path. He taught them Pranic Healing. he told me something interesting abt bath. If we are taking bath with cold water. The water should be cold to the extent we can bear it. Then we should pour water on head first. Such an act will remove the bad energy that becomes stored in head. Bad energy accumulates in head owing to tensions, our bad feelings for others, jealousy, hate etc. If we pour hot water on head the energy does't get carried away with water n after a hot water bath we feel heavy head. He said that if we are taking bath with hot water then we should proceed from feet to head n if with cold water then water should be poured head to toe. I guess the reason is to creaate a temp. difference in body that will help drain the bad energy away with water. It has been said that a bath in Ganges water removes the sins. The Ganges water contains sap of lot of divine herbs. This must be one of the reasons for power in Ganges water. Ganges water is like a medicated, blessed n divine water. Similarly as has been said above the Ganges water should take away the bad energy to some extent from our body and bad energy is nothing but sins. It seems foolish to think >that a bath in ganges water n one has become free from all sins. > I am reminded of Sri Ramakrishna's words (to the effect): " When one taked bath in the ganges, all sins leave him , but tey only sit on top of a nearby tree. The moment he comes out of the water, they jump onto him again. " Thakur was commenting upon the attitude of people, that led them to believe that occasional pilgrimages will wash away one's sins and that one could go about living " life as usual " the rest of the time.
