Guest guest
Dear friends, Here is the translation of a poem I had written (in Hindi) in 1992 when I was fascinated by a single lotus in a small pond in one of the Ashrams. The time was tranquil Noon hour. That was my first visit to any of the ashrams! The Blue Lotus One blue lotus was well poised, Covered with magnificence of blue sky, Surrounded by the Maya of Krishna, And body of Neelkantha (blue throated Shiva), It was all alone, self centered As if beholding whole universe in its cozy petals, And challenging me to transform myself, Like it, Introspective, withdrawn, and contemplative, So as, To squeeze all my worldly expressions Of love, concern and care (Howsoever respectable these may be) In the expanse of my inner world, And merge in freedom of Formless Truth. dr c s shah -- =^=^=^=^=^ E-magazine on science and spirituality.
