Guest guest
Hello Everybody, This is my first mail in this mailing list. Before I start contributing to this list let me give u all a brief history about me. I am working in a software firm ,TCG Software Services Pvt Ltd in Calcutta for the past 4 months. I have finished my Computer Enginnering from Mumbai this year. The first time I got into any spiritual activity was when I had attended a camp organised by Chinmaya Mission in Pawai, Mumbai in July 98. It was to a certain extent an eye-opener for me. After that I enrolled myself as a Chyk (Chinmaya Yuva Kendra) member and started attending a study group. A study group is a class where we discuss a book. The books are like short essays written by Gurudev(Swami Chinmayananda). But each chapter has lots to explore in it. One day I picked up a copy of a book called 'What religion is' which is an extract of the Complete Works. I was totally fascinated by it and soon I became a member of the Ramakrishna Library in Mumbai. I am at present trying to follow this one ideal and that is to " Treat work as worship " . To work without the ego-sense and work to dissolve the ego and exhaust your vasanas. I try hard but still at times I feel that I am working for my ego. Please can anyone suggest me the way to know whether u r doin your daily duty selflessly without the ego or u r doin it to boost your aham. That is it for now. Do send me some info about you all Love Kedar.
Guest guest
this is wat i think First accept urself and then Forget urself, forget that u r someone named kedar that ur someone with such and such sized body. If have a thought of gaining something watever it may be then there is some ego is us. When we nothin to gain from others it's then that we will no longer be selfish. When we learn that to give and give is love it's then that we understand wat love and selfless work is > I am at present trying to follow this one ideal and that is to " Treat > work as worship " .
