Bravo, Jay! You have taken the time to spell out the whole story, on the

apparent contradiction in these teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swamiji,

and done a fine job! One more thing might be added: The Master knew and

taught mostly Indians, Calcutta Babus, persons who needed a specific

message, whereas Swamiji visited and spoke to the world at large, and knew

the other cultures and temperaments would need the message put in various

ways.
