Last of all comes the renunciation of work, followed by samAdhi. " om tat sat ~~~~~~ om shanthi om~~~~~~ Extrait du Gospel de Sri Ramakrishna p.152 Mardi 21/12/99 Le Maitre Dit: " Au debut de la vie religieus, un homme fait beaucoup de bruit pour le sujet de travail, mais pendant que son esprit plonge plus profond dans le Dieu, il devient moins actif. En dernier lieu, vient la renonciation du travail, suivie par la samAdhi. " om tat sat ~~~~~~om shanthi om~~~~~~ Hello Everyone ! Swami Yogeshananda Hari Om, Thank you Daksha Patelji, for sharing your research with us, concerning the 'Vedic position' of woman in the family. Of course, the object of spiritual life, is to 'rise above' the designations of 'man and woman', and to become one with Brahman. However, as long as one lives in society, certain rules must be followed. The modern rejection, of these 'notions of male leadership in the family'; regarding them as outdated, quaint redundancies from the ancient past; has brought much misery to humanity, with more to come. A few questions: Why do we celabrate the birthday of Sri Sarada Devi ? Do we not recognise in her, that self-sacrifice and quiet acceptance of the 'subservient role of wife', so generally lacking in today's world? Is that not where her sainthood really lies ? Would anyone today know of Thakurji's message, if his spouse would have been a recalcitrant, complaining wife ? We may ponder these questions, when we celebrate Sri Saradamani's Birthday tomorrow [Dec 22]. om shanthi om +om ____ 123India - India's Premier Search Engine Get your Free Email Account at http://www.123india.com
