Road to Glory

Invisible but existent Reality

Solidifies gradually to take various forms,

Losing its all-pervasive nature,

 

Now it is so difficult to determine

Whether it is solid or fluid,

Multiple shapes complicate the matter,

So also the changing contours,

 

Nomenclature at this stage

Starts the process of multiplicity:

This and that, you and me, life and death!

 

The illusion spreads,

To the extent to be called Science,

Gaining transient label of Truth!

 

In this external progress, We become aware

Of the defeat lurking in the womb of victory

Of the transient nature of joy

Of the inevitability of death, and

Of the illusory nature of manifest world

 

Vultures of destruction, death, and downfall

Circle the skies of contemplation,

And many a great man is shocked, still

Many more are disillusioned, to note

The truth was not what they had presumed!

 

Like Hemingway, Einstein, and Capra,

We begin to search and seek refuge

In the Universal Power of Formless Truth,

Or, in the Universal Gory of God with Form:

Christ, Krishna, Ramakrishna...

 

Fear of total annihilation,

Of total chaos and elimination,

Of ignorance consuming conscience,

Leads occasional one to supreme

discrimination and renunciation,

 

And a Great Buddha is born!

 

Many co-travelers, aspirants, and Seekers of Truth

Borrow light from such a Great Star,

And twinkle for a while

Feeling eternally grateful to such Men of God,

For giving them rare opportunity

To experience the Light of Eternity!!!
