Wednesday 12/1/00

 

The Master Said:

 

" Once a man realizes God through intense dispassion,

he is no longer attached to woman.

Even if he must lead the life of a householder,

he is free from fear of and attachment to woman.

Suppose there are two magnets, one big

and the other small.

Which one will attract the iron?

The big one,of course.

God is the big magnet. Compared to Him,

woman is a small one.

He who has realized God does not look upon

a woman with the eye of lust;

so he is not afraid of her.

He perceives clearly that women are but so many aspects

of the Divine Mother.

He worships them all as the Mother Herself. "

In honour of the 137th Birthday today [Jan 12, 2000] of Sri Swami Vivekananda, I

would like to offer a beautiful article written by Swamiji, after he visited

Paris in

the latter part of the nineteenth century.

Le Maitre A indique:

 

" Une fois qu'un homme realise le Dieu par le dispassion intense,

il n'est plus attache a la femme. Meme si il doit mener la vie

d'un chef de menage, il est libre de la crainte de et de la connexion

a la femme. Supposez qu'il y a deux aimants, un grand et l'autre petit.

Qu'on attirera-t-il le fer? Au grand aimant, naturellement.

Dieu est le grand aimant. Compare a lui, la femme est une petite aimante.

Quelqu'un qui a realise le Dieu ne considere pas une femme avec

l'oeil de la convoitise; ainsi il n'a pas peur d'elle.

Il perçoit clairement que les femmes sont sauf que tant d'aspects

de la mere divine. Il les adore tous en tant que la mere divine elle-meme. "

 

 

 

En l'honneur du 137th anniversaire aujourd'hui [janv. 12, 2000]

de Sri Swami Vivekananda, je voudrais offrir

un bel article ecrit par Swamiji, apres sa visite a

Paris au derniere partie du dix-neuvieme siecle.
