Guest guest
Dear Ed, The devotee who posed the original question has difficulty understanding the explanations given in formless (abstract) terms. My explanation to her were rational and abstract like yours but she couldn't understand them. She was happy with the explanation given by " Shankar. " But what you say does make sense to me. Well, truth has many levels. I shall be cured if it is God's will. " (Gospel p. 842:i,j, Nikhilananda translation) When he thought of God, his mind soared and he could not bring it to the concern of his body. My understanding is that we normal human beings are body and mind connected, but Avatars only wear the clothing of body and mind; their concern, their focus, their reality, is Reality itself. Not only why bring it down to the body? but just the thought of God took him to greater heights of consciousness than worrying about his cancer. I hope this makes sense. edtipple
