Guest guest
Dear Ed, You said, “It is interesting that the term " Lord " , which denotes a Personal God, is used in this discussion of Brahman, the Impersonal.” I think it depends at how you interpret the word “Lord.” Usually people look at it as a being separate from themselves. Is that the truth? I look at “Lord” as the ability to Create, Survive, and Destroy in relation to this universe. To the degree one has that ability one is the Lord. It is most likely that individuals have this ability with respect to their own universes. They get frustrated when they cannot apply that ability to the physical universe. Well, the physical universe is the result of the agreement among all our individual universes. To be able to create, survive, and destroy in the physical universe one has to get the agreement of all the other participants at that moment.
