Guest guest
Within Hinduism we come across an experiment that claims that Self Realisation can be and should be a matter of first hand experience and not book learning. Without such first hand experience our spiritual search ends in speculations - not satisfaction. It is also claimed that knowingly or unknowingly every enlightened person of every faith has succeeded in this experiment. This experiment is called 'Raja Yoga'. Over the next few weeks we will look at this subject in greater detail. jay
Guest guest
Namaste Jay-ji This post of yours reminds me of the book that Swamiji wrote of the same title. In my opinion, it is Swamiji at his best. Especially his long introduction to the actual Yoga Sutra aphorisms. I bought this book for a friend of mine and he was totally blown away. And it seems that George Harrison from the Beatles started appreciating Hindu thought right after reading two books that were given to him by Ravi Shankar. One of them was Autobiography of a Yogi and the other was Raja Yoga by Swamiji.
