Guest guest
The Antahkarana - the mental apparatus - consists of four faculties viz. Chitta (likened to a lake, where the reactions or modifications occur due to stimulus i.e. thought or impulses), Manas (mind), Ahamkar (ego) and buddhi (intellect or discriminative faculty). Concentration and purification mind and chitta, or effacing of ego etc. differ in minor details, but all this can be achieved by by spiritual discipline. Rather the sole purpose of sadhana is this alone. dr c s shah -- =================================== E-zine on science and spirituality.
