position of the I, and starts to pose as the 'I' then we have the

'I' making principle. It is commonly misunderstood to mean the

personality. "

 

Vinaire: " But in truth, the ego is the Mind posing as the 'I'. It

eclipses the true I, or the true personality. Even if the ego does

not fully substitute the I, it filters the I and the personality in

its own way. "
