Brahman as 'Cause'

This does not look right. Surely Thakurji could not have meant that

" Brahman is the creator of space " .

 

If Brahman and space are related as above then they are

linked by the law of cause and effect.

Brahman cannot be the creator of anything.

 

The more acceptable way to explain may be.

Brahman 'appears' as space - (the key word is 'appears').

 

This is not a mere play of words.

There is a serious idea behind all this.

If Brahman gets caught up in the

chain of cause and effect - its very essence is lost.

Jay, you are right in that Brahman as 'absolute potential' does not

create or cause anything. How can it? It is not even manifested.

 

But Brahman manifested as Atman does create and cause. Please see my

earlier post " The Hindu Pantheon. "

 

Thakurji used space only as an analogy for Brahman. Brahman is

neither space nor appears as one. It would be a misinterpretation to

think that way.

P.S. I wonder why you cannot address me directly but refer to me in

third person. Is that British influence? Or, maybe I am behaving like
