Hinduism is a philosophy and one can embrace Hinduism even being a Christian. Just by attending a ceremony one doesn't become a Hindu. That's again my thought and Ramakrishna has shown that aspect time and again during his lifetime and through his teachings. It is more important to be a pious human being.
