Guest guest
Ha ha...ha.. There is one more similar technique called " Kriya yoga " taught by Paramahamsa yogananda ashram . ( Author of autobiography of yogi ..). Any way the basic funda is (As per Paramahamsa yogananda) is to expel the carbon dioxide from the blood stream and charge it with the Oxygen . Do this in the early morning & and do after coming back from the office , after bath . Don't take bath after vigorous breathing as it will cause problem to brain as the cells will be in a hot stage. ( Have your own way of doing , not only nose , exhale through mouth with laughing haha...continuous.. Don't be static ...move around and laugh...with ha.ha.. sound ( " ha " is as good as " sa " because of stimulation to certain cells ) ..Dance , sing and celebrate .... be like a child .and reach a state of dynamic meditation (Osho's method even sometimes used by Ravishankar , they are not copying from others , Even if U are getting some method after deep meditation , It may not be something new , U will be getting it from the common Universal data bank what U need is the tuning of the microcosm to macrocosm.)by releasing the energy which you have suppressed....forget about the surrroundings..don't have overdose .. Slow and steady ...But most of the people will not encourage pranayama as holding breath for a long time may cause damage to brain . Even in old scriptures it says that " Pranayama should be done under the presence of a guru who have got realisation . If the aim is to awaken the kundalini U will be desparate . Those who have read a lot about kundalini arousal , they can't experience it .those who have that experience they will have never read about it. (Take the cases , sriramakrishna , Mata amrithanandamayi , ravisankar , Sai baba ...etc ) # When U are following anybody's method U will get bored with in few months. Find Out your own method .. Be a server , not a clent .. Think about finding about diff. methods of solving others problems , without attachment ofcourse . Take more & more responsibility and grow. # Change U'r lifestyle daily !!( Not sadhana style ) . If U have the habit of using right hand , Use left today .. Ur every day should be different from previous day ...let U have consciousness ..awareness.. of each and every deed .. # In the early morning , look at the trees for a few minutes . u may reach a meditative state . Enjoy with the nature . stick to nature than to human . The disappiontments will be vanished . This method can be considered as a intermediate state .. The ultimate aim of meditation is that finding a way of enjoyment which is indepenednt of all senses .. yes.. U should be happy even if u are losing U'r sight , Legs and Hands . think about the worst case and start . # Meditation is a state of mind which has to happen unknowingly , the route selected can vary from crying ,,,to ,, laughing. Don't suppress thoughts for meditation . Enjoy!!!!! Ha ha ha... According to what i understood about " Sudarshan Kriyaa " is that these are breathing exercises which are Pranayama , Advanced Paranayama or modifications in the Pranayama. I can be wrong in my views about " Sudarshan Kriya " as i haven't done Sudarshan Kriya or don't even know the procedure to it's finest details. Pranayama is one of the great exercises. I was reading an article and it said that the awakeking of Kundalini till " Agyaa Chkraa " ( Eye Brow Chakraa ) is nothin but the proper way of breathing. As one advances through different chakraas. The method od Pranayama needs to be modified to which is compatible with that chakra. A person who has awaken kundalini through this way knows this higher ways of Pranayama. I guess this is the similarity which i find between two. On Tue, 21 Mar 2000, Atul Jani wrote: > Dear prashantji, > > I read quotation of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Happy to got it. I have recently two month ago completed the BASIC Course of " Art of living " . I am practising " Sudarshan Kriya " regularly. It gives lots of joy & peace. Simultaneously I am studying " Rajyog " of Swami Vivekananda. I found much more similarity between the " Sudarshan Kriya " and " Rajyog " . I found that the " Sudarshan Kriya " is one part of Rajyog. What is your opinion ? > > Atul [This message contained attachments] ********************************
