Guest guest
Amazing... Can someone elaborate on these 3 words : 'Time', 'Space' and 'Causation'. Enjoy, Kedar.S. Time begins with mind, space also is in the mind. Causation cannot stand without time. Without the idea of succession there cannot be any idea of causation. Time, space and causation, therefore, are in the mind, and as this Atman is beyond the mind and formless, it must be beyond time, beyond space, and beyond causation. Now, if it is beyond time, space, and causation, it must be infinite.

Guest guest
Dear Kedar The idea of space, time and causation are very central to Hindu philosophy. Western world has similar ideas developed by German philosophers like Kant. The position of modern physics is to say 'Space and Time ' are the necessary background to explain this universe. With Newton they were considered to be separate entities but with new Physics - Einstein's relativity they have become fused as Space/time (cannot be treated or dealt with separately any more). regards jay - Kedar Subramanian <ksubramanian <Ramakrishna > 14 April 2000 06:28 Re: [ramakrishna] Digest Number 409 Amazing...
