Guest guest
ADVICE TO HIS COUNTRYMEN "Close your lips and let your hearts open. Let us all work for India's glorification. On our work depends the future of India. The time has come for the re-building, restructuring, the time has come for us to gather all our scattered forces. All our hatchets let us bury; send out a current of mutual love and natural love all around. Regenerate India's glory. Work for that regeneration with selfless devotion". Can we think of a better patriot? These words not only inspired the Indians of those days, but generations of Indians yet to be born, will draw inspiration from the life, work and teachings of this king among monks. The harmonious blending of a righteous majestic pride with true spirituality, his deep compassion and felling for the poor and downtrodden, his universal spirit and vision combined with dynamism in action directed to the service of fellow-beings, his intense patriotism - all these together make Swami Vivekananda the most exciting and fascinating inspirer of modern India. He urged his countrymen to 'work like a master and not a slave'. He said : "Work through love; The word 'love' is very difficult to understand; love never comes until there is freedom. There is no true love possible in the slave. Every act of love brings happiness; there is no act of love which does not bring peace and blessedness as its reaction. Real existence, real knowledge, real love are eternally connected with one another, the three in one, where one of them is, the other also must be, they are the three aspects of the One without a second - the Existence - Knowledge - Bliss".
