Attachment - Detachment

I was just sharing some thoughts on it with a friend.

 

 

Lets look us at human beings. What are they made up of ? Evryone is trying

to figure out this. Isn't it interesting i don't know who am i ?

Knowinlgly or Unknowingly we are always trying to find answer to it ? And

Everyone's life is spun around this question.

 

Body + Mind + Prana ( Life Force) + Atmaa (soul)

 

It's our soul that enjoys evrything through the faculty of Body,

Senses, Mind and Prana.

 

 

The basic thing that we always look for is eternal happiness. We try to

find it in money, food, relationships, jokes, humour but we never find it

there. Wise ones after having looked outwards then look inwards to find

it.

 

When we get the taste of the inside happiness it's then that we

become naturally detached from the outside world. Beacuse we have

found a source that gives more happpiness and contentment as compared to

things enjoyed through senses and outside world.

 

 

In order to turn their mind inwards people practise different disciplines

of not doing certain acts. Beacuse the mind is the faculty through which

we can gain experience. If it is projected outwards then we gain knowledge

from outside world and if we project it inside then we will gain knowledge

about the inside world.

 

 

Body, Mind is a tool through which we can gain knowledge. And if there

is anything that makes us loose our mind or if we loose our mind then i

guess the whole purpose of life gets defeated.

 

 

But the real detachment occurs when the inner happiness gets established

in us. In this state we don't have strive to look outwards or inwards for

happiness rather we are just happy irrespective of what happens or

watever we do. This state is something like rising above the thoughts of

Attachment - Detachment.
