Guest guest
Chapter 3, Verse 11: Swami Chetanananda O my dear, I am neither free from thought nor am I with thought. I am neither separated nor am I unted. I am neither without mind nor do I have a mind. I am Existence-Knowledge-Bliss and boundless as space. Note: According to the Vedanta philosophy, when an individual soul merges with Nirguna Brahman (Brahman without attributes), he is beyond thought and mind; and again, when he is within Saguna Braahman (Brahman with attributes, or name and form), he has a mind and he thinks. Swami Ashokananda My child, I am not devoid of nonexistence and existence. My child, I am not devoid of unity and absence of unity. My chld, I am not devoid of mind and absence of mind. I am the nectar of Knowledge, homogeneous Existence, like the sky. Notes: Nonexistence - " Existence " here is relative existence. Unity - transcendental Oneness. Unity - organic unity, as in the phenomenal universe. Devoid, etc. - in the relative and the trancendental states of the Self, respectively.
