My interpretation of 'sin' , etc ....

When under the impulses of our mind( seat of emotions) v act in an

immoral/unjust way which our intellect/conscious(seat of discrimination)

later rebukes then v feel that v have commited a sin. It is nothing but a

reaction the act v have performed has on oneself. Infact the feeling of

regret v have after commiting the act shows that our intellect has not yet

died. There still is hope.

But instead of not repeating the act again v fall in a habit of making the

same mistake and regretting it after the act. That should not happen.

Making a mistke is not wrong but making the same mistake again and again is

wrong.

It is right to accept when v make mistakes but in order to not make the

same mistake again v have to lift ourselves from the current weak frame of

mind. It is like u cannot find a solution to a problem from the same frame

of mind as when the problem was created. It has to be a few levels higher..

For that to happen, for u to break away from commiting that sin again u

must remind urself of ur true nature, which is pure

existence,knowledge,bliss.

If u keep reminding urself of the sins u have committed u will never rise

above the problem. That is why Ramakrishna has advised us to always tell

ourselves that " I am free and nothing in the world can bind me down. I am

a child of God and I will only think of His glory and strength. My good and

bad actions r not important at all. I want to only think of Him. "

The Master Said:

" Once someone gave me a book of the Christians.

I asked him to read it to me. It talked of nothing but sin.

The wretch who constantly says, " I am bound, I am bound',

only succeeds in being bound. He who says day and night,

'I am a sinner, I am a sinner' verily becomes a sinner. "
