Guest guest
Dear Anurag, The fear of Raja Yoga derives from the fact that kundalini awakening without proper preparation dan cause severe psychic or mental problems. Strict moral and ethical rules must be learned and followed before practice and ardent spiritual practices should be undertaken only under the direction of a pure and knowledgeable teacher. Practiced correctly, of course, it might be the King of Yogas but its dangers remind us again of both Krishna and Buddha's counsel for the " middle path " , and Ramakrishna's recommendation to combine all four yogas for a balanced and safe path. Guest guest
Dear Edith, What you say is very true. Practise of Raja Yoga does require the proper guidance from a SatGuru. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa's words appeal more. love, Anurag On Tue, 27 Jun 2000, EDTipple wrote: > Dear Anurag, > > The fear of Raja Yoga derives from the fact that kundalini awakening > without proper preparation dan cause severe psychic or mental problems. > Strict moral and ethical rules must be learned and followed before > practice and ardent spiritual practices should be undertaken only under > the direction of a pure and knowledgeable teacher.
