Guest guest
Dear " vinaire>, However, the vision of God that appears is simply put out there by the self of the devotee. The self presents the vision that the devotee is intensely longing for. Only the devotee is not aware of it. How about saying that the FORM of the vision is put out there by the self of the devotee? As I understand it, the CONTENT of the vision of God IS GOD--clothed in the shape and garments the devotee wants to see. This is different from saying that the devotee creates the vision, or creates the God he sees. That too, can be true from a higher standpoint, when the locus of ego has totally changed, as you say in the next paragraphs. But I take exception to the first paragraph.
