Guest guest
Dear friends, One can only conceptually get the feel of Absolute Monism/Advaita Vedanta. It is the only Truth, rather the most consistent way to state the fact of Truth. It can never be proved, justified or comprehended by arguments based on reason and logic. This dilemma is known as spiritual doubt, and sages say this doubt would remain in grosser or subtler form in every spiritual aspirant till he/she realizes or experiences or becomes one with the Truth, i.e. Absolute Consciousness. The transcendental journey into the realm of higher consciousness is the only proof of absolute monism. All other explanations fall in the category of 'apara vidya' or lower knowledge, where mind, words, and the senses fail to fathom and comprehend the true nature of Reality. However, equally so, this path is the most difficult of all the spiritual disciplines, and as the Upanishad says, 'it is like walking over the razor's edge'. Therefore, most of us, for want of alternative, take refuge in qualified monism where we accept existence of multifarious world and divinity (albeit potentially) in each soul. The goal is to first actualize this potential truth in our own hearts, which automatically leads to us to perceive the same divinity everywhere, and in all beings. >From the point of physics, we know that the whole universe is made up of subatomic particles alone, and to directly perceive the universe (of multifarious objects as well as thoughts) as subatomic particles is to enter the state of qualified monism. Then to experience the truth that these subatomic elements are the first apparition of limitless, infinite, immaterial and all pervading Consciousness is to become one with the Reality. Returning back from such a rare experience an occasional seer sees the universe as shadowy, unreal, illusory, and crude expression of that Reality. Maya is to accept the first change, first apparition, of the Absolute Consciousness into such subatomic particles.
