Continuing with the text of Non-dualism

Avadhuta Gita

Chapter 5 Verse 21

Brahman, the absolute consciousness,

pervades all living beings

as well as motionless objects of the world.

And again, It shines of Itself,

devoid of men and other beings.

Being the Selfsame Brahman,

O, mind, why do you weep?

Commentary:

Consciousness is a concept that needs greater understanding.

Medical science, thinks it is a by-product of the body.

Vedanta says it is far more than that - it is the very background

on which the whole world, animate and inanimate finds expression.
