Dear List members

I wish to share this email from a Religious Education teacher

with you. This shows what I am dealing with .....

======copy of message========

Dear Jay, Hello it's Gill K*** from N***** School here.

We have been working hard on our Hindu module of the A level

and wondered if you had the time to come and visit us?

In each case the lesson is two hours long and would give us plenty

of time to discuss areas of interest.

Of particular interest is the scriptual support of acts like

widow burning and child brides. Does it say anywhere that these

acts should take place?

Best wishes

Gill K****

I will obviously visit the school and tidy up the picture.

So much mud has been slung on Hinduism !!

These are the aspects of Hinduism these people have

been taught to focus on .......

Ask any of these Religious Education teachers of Hinduism.

" Do you know who is Vivekananda? "

Nobody has heard the name.

The clear, rational, refreshing message of spirituality

that comes through his life and teachings, remains unheard ......

Almost all 'gurus' who are operating in the West since the time

of Vivekananda have failed to acknowledge the importance of

Vivekananda. (That would reduce their own glory!!).

A great pity..... what a loss...
