Dear Magesh .,

There is a book by Late Kanchi seer on Vedas. I

think the title " Vedas " only. This is supposed to be

the best book.

There are lots of books on all the 4 vedas ranging

from traditional commentators like Sayanacharya, etc

to the recent western authours. There is marked

difference in the commentaries by different people.

The best place for you to get these books in Bangalore

is ,

1. Sringeri Sharada Matha, Shankara Matha Road.

Bangalore

2. Vidyapeetha, Bangalore

3. Banarasi Motilal (not clear of the name),

Jayanagar 4th Block. Bangalore

To say which is good, I feel, Rigveda is not an easy

stuff to be commented. It is all in coded words, and

sages have used simple day-to-day objects like cow,

water, horse, milk, ghee to express their view.

Diferrent people have expressed in there own ways. But

one thing is sure, there is lot of difference between

the commenteris of Indian traditional commentators

like Sayana (approx. 1300AD) and western scholars like

Max Muller. I don't have that much knowledge to say

anything about this great work.

In advaita list , prof H.B. Dave was presenting a

series of articles on Rigveda. You can go to this site

http://www.escribe.com/religion/advaita/index.html?by=Author & a=H.B.Dave

and refer the articles with subject

" RigVeda and the Indian Systems of Approaches to the

One "
