Guest guest
i was wondering if everybody could share their favourite shlokas in Sanskrit that they consider near and dear to their hearts and recite it often. I recite for eg. the Aditya Hridayam, Shankara's Dasasloki, Nirvana Ashtakam. I consider them all to be very powerful. Please share any more shlokas that are powerful and beneficial. Often we in the west do not hear of the shlokas that are recited in India... If the devotees who do recite any that they feel have helped them intheir lives i would be very grateful to learn of them with much love and regards msj On Tue, 17 Oct 2000 16:59:08 Anurag Goel wrote: > >Hi Mahesh! > >Sometime back you posted something saying that every thing abt sanskrit is >great. > >True! indeed sanskrit is a great language. > >But one of the reasons for Guru Gorakhnaath to construct all the mantraas >in the common language was to break the ego of Sanskrit Scholars at that >time. Guest guest
There is this CD by Ravi Shankar entitled 'Chants of India'. It has many mantras set to great music. Most of the popular Vedic Mantras are chanted in this recording. Worth keeping in your collection. > > Maria S Jewison [sMTP:maria_jewison] > Saturday, October 21, 2000 11:26 AM > Ramakrishna > Re: [ramakrishna] Regarding Sanskrit > > > > i was wondering if everybody could share their favourite shlokas in > Sanskrit that they consider near and dear to their hearts and recite it > often.
