Am i correct to state that one has to reach a certain spiritual level or be

a brahmana to be eligible to recite the Gayatri mantra.

Please advise me on this. What can i refer to for some pramaans.

Hi hari!

Sometime back i wrote about Gayatri Mantra. And also i was reading

some quiz questions in new paper there too it was said that " Gayatri

Mantra " is relate to Sun. And as such Gayatri Mantra is one of the method

of awakening kundalini and realising the oneness.

As such it is said that recitation of Gayatri Mantra burns the sins.

As far as my experience goes. When i recite Gaytri Mantra it affects

Anahata Chakra and my heart opens up and my chest is filled with warmth.

As such it is said that only one has who taken Diksha (Initiation) from a

spiritual

teacher should recite Gayatri Mantra. If done otherwise one won't get the

effect.

Thats what i know. I don't know if there have been any exceptions to it.

The gayathri mantra is taught to any aspirant in the spiritual path. An

initiation is necessary for such mantras as they have specific metres for

chanting. So the only qualification necessary for learning this mantra, is

to have the desire to know the Vedas. Why can't a person who desires to

know the Vedas be called a brahmana (brahmin)?
