Avadhuta Gita

Song of the Ever free

Chapter 7 Verse 4

In this state of realization,

how can the Avadhuta consider

whether he has a body or not,

or whether he has attachment or not?

He himself is the immaculate, immovable,

innate Reality - infinite as space.

Commentary:

This verse tries to convey something that

is impossible to convey.

We should not use Advaita (philosophy of non-dualism)

for a special kind mental satisfaction or for gaining intellectual kicks.

Neither is it a matter of elaborate discussion, ritual or belief.

It just IS. We do not reach Advaita - we do not achieve it.

It just IS. It is a 'state and can never be a 'statement'.
