Is fate Fixed

I don't think our Sanatana Dharma(Hindu religion) is so strict to fix up our

unchangeable birth, death and marriage. Hindu religion is very very

flexible. Yeah birth may be fixed i.e. it depends on the net result of work

done by us in our prevoius births. But marriage and death can be decided by

our work in the same birth itself.

There is lot of instances which depicts the changing of the so called

fate. One good example can be that of Satyavan and Savitri where Savitri got

back the life of her husband even after his death.

 

I don't think anything is fixed. Something someperson at sometime can not

change , but it does not mean that it is predestined.

 

I would like to get views from our group.

This question: Is there free will? -- has bothered philosophers for a long

time.

The more elaborate question:

Is Hindu belief: That birth, death and marriage are predestined, true?

Hi ,

 

For anything that hapeens now , at this moment is not accidental , at that

point of time if anybody says " oh anyway it is fate " , it is true , because it

may be because of the effect of past karma . But about future I don't think ,

Reg. death

I have read somewhere that :: it can be predicted 6 months in advance , even by

kirlian photography ( ,during that period you will will not be able to see the

tip of your nose , as the eyes starts turning up )
