Sri Ramakrishna Charanam Saranam; Sri Sri Ma

The Ramakrishna Ashrama, Kayamkulam, Kerala, India, has arranged a

public meeting for the formal inauguration of the Two-storeyed Dormitory

Building for the " Swami Nirmalananda Memorial Balabhavan " on Sunday, 25

March 2001 at the Ashrama premises.

Swami Golokananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Kozhikode

will preside over the public meeting and Mr. Jual Oram Ji, Central Minister

for Tribal Affairs, Govt of India, will formally declare open the new

purpose-built Dormitory Building for the Balabhavan, in the Ashrama

Compound.

Swami Nirmalananda Memorial Balabhavan is an asylum for Orphans,

Destitutes and financially backward Tribal students, providing free food,

accommodation and education in a healthy environment for nearly 80 students

at present. This Balabhavan (Boys' Home) is catering for the needs of mainly

the under-priveledged Tribal Children for the past ten years.

The Ramakrishna Ashrama Kayamkulam was started in 1930 by SWAMI

NIRMALANANDA, one of the seventeen Direct Monastic Disciples of Bhagavan

Sri Ramakrishna. The annual celebration of the Ashrama of this year will be

conducted with a three-day Spiritual Retreat on 12th, 13th and 14th April

2001.

Swami Mridananda and Swami Swaprabhananda, the Senior Monks of

Ramakrishna Mission in Kerala will conduct the Spritual Retreat together

with Devotee-Scholars Dr. P Achutan, Prof. Vaidyalinga Sharma and Dr.

Sambasivan.
