Guest guest
Voon-Seng Chea hindu Sunday, April 08, 2001 08:03 Namaste Voon! (my personal view) As we all know, Hunduism is a simple religion if you do good job and it is vague when you do not know what it is. It is only the religion where any body can tansfer himself or herself to God. Karma, it is a word from Kam which means work and any result comes from Kam/karm or work. Work with good intention is good karma and with bad intention is bad karma. Those who gots bad karma naver becomes happy on his/her life. Animals, plants and all the creatures are Gods since they never got any bad intention. We Hindu appriciate all of them and their good karma. >From Human, just a few do good karma since must of our works or karma are full of gready intention. Guest guest
The question is always: What is true Hinduism?! For, other than realization of one's Self, realization that divinity is our true nature, there can be no other proof for or logic in proclaiming Hinduism as necessary and relevant today. Unfortunately, knowingly or unknowingly, we tend to forget this essential, and Vedanta degenerates into routine Bhakti cult. I do not say this bad, I say this is inevitable, as the history shows. But the history also records wonderful gift of Krishna, Buddha, Mahavir, Nanak, Jnaneshwar, Ramakrishna, Vivekananda who have had intuitively realized the Truth. The point that needs to be focused about Hinduism, and the preaching of saints, prophets, and seers, is this transcendental realization of Higher Consciousness and manifestation of Divine in the lives of these exponents of Hinduism. Then one would accept the necessity of practice of religion in one's life; and develop yearning to realize, or at least have a glimpse of, higher consciousness. -- c s shah http://www.geocities.com/neovedanta
