Guest guest
Reply to Harsha Vardhana, Message 2 in Digest 758: In spite of what he wrote, Swamiji subjected his own body to all kinds of alternative medical practicioners. The equivalent of Reiki and other pranic methods were there in his day, and he took a lot of " rubbing " from a certain Mrs. Melton. So how can we totally reject alternative medical treatments? I know of reputable practicioners of Reiki and I consider it a non-mischievous and potentially helpful kind of therapy. If you find an accredited Reiki Master I don't think you should have worries about it. It might be wise to avoid less well-known and established methods or practicioners. ------ Swami Yogeshananda Vedanta Center of Atlanta 2331 Brockett Road Tucker, GA 30084 Ph: 770-938-6673 yogeshananda http://www.vedanta-atlanta.org/ -----
