Guest guest
Sri Ramakrishna puts it beautifully, in very simple terms - God seeks love and devotion from his devotees and that is God's desire. Indian spiritual philosophy says that the One wanted to be many and therefore the One projected this manifold creation out of Itself. But, what was the driving reason? As the One without a second, the Infinite One could not have had any reason or desire per se. What to desire and whom to desire? So, the only intelligible answer that satisfies our intellect is that the One wanted to just have plain fun with Itself and therefore divided Itself into many and this fun-lovingness is the desireless desire of God!This desire God satisfies by fooling around with us and making us dance to his tune, while we laugh and cry, thinking too much of our little selves. Sorry for the verbosity! God is certainly the source of both good and evil. All the more reason not to become religious bigots and cry over the immorality sorrounding us or get excited over someone becoming spiritual. To work hard to manifest goodness for our own evolution and at the same time remembering that God is in charge, always, everytime,is a great life skill, in my perception. Thanx for your attention.
