Guest guest
Further to the earlier posting about Swami Ashokananda's explanation about consciousness... The following interesting email received from Prakash in Singapore. ..........jay ========<snip>========= But I have a real doubt. If this " ego " does not appear at all, there is no fun(nor suffering). Everything is " Dhruvam Sthimita Gambhiram, Na Tejo Na Tamastatah " . How do we come across the greatness and blessedness of this state in the absence of any ripple/ego? Ripples are essential to validate the greatness of ripple-less Supreme Existance. Am I talking absurdity? The awareness of the highest level of this " Super Consciousness " or the enjoyment of the Supreme Bliss of this Super Consciousness can only be possible with a touch of ego. (May be a transparent ego) So, following Swamiji's definition, we can interpolate Ashokanandaji's declaration thus: " Superconsciousness smeared with (or bonded by) ego is Consciousness " . Only this bonded superconsciousness can enjoy the bliss of real Superconsciousness. Am I going away from your point, ?
