Dear Steven

Drug induced meditation is not recommended. It is known that some

wondering monks may resort to such useage but the practice is not

considered mainstream Hinduism.

It is recognised that drugs may induce altered states of the mind.

The aim of Yoga is the master the mind and not allow the mind to

do even more weird gymnastics (through drugs) hence the use of drugs

is not encouraged.
