I do not understand how people declare themselves to be believers in

God, and at the same time think that God has handed over to a little

body of men all truth, and that they are the guardians of the rest of

humanity. How can you call that religion? Religion is realization;

but mere talk--mere trying to believe, mere groping in darkness, mere

parroting the words of ancestors and thinking it is religion, mere

making a political something out of the truths of religion--is not

religion at all.
