Bravo, Jay, another worthy presentation! (It would be interesting to hear

the questions you receive at your talks.) I like to view God as a

" Scientist. " When His actions within creation can be understood, explained

or verified by the human mind we call this physical science. When they

cannot be understood, explained or verified (i.e., " miracles, " such as the

" mutation " of genes that result in life, responses to prayer, the experience

of samadhi/rapture, etc.), we may refer to this as " spiritual science. " In

either case, everything within creation is born of and directed by Divine

Intelligence or Consciousness, rather than by " randomicity. " I guess my main

point is that we should not turn the gift of human consciousness away from

Truth for the sake of religion, e.g., denying radio-carbon dating in order

to make the allegorical story of creation in Genesis a literal description

of the event. Nor, should we turn away from Truth for the sake of science,

i.e., denying the glory of God's grace at work in creation in the vain

pursuit of seeking physical answers to spiritual processes. In summary,

contrary to the belief that science and religion are incompatible, they are

two aspects of the same reality - and should be explored on that basis.
