I would like to offer two translations of the Invocation to the Isha

Upanishad made by two Swamis who worked for years in the United States.

Swami Nikhilananda translated the Gospel of Ramakrishna, and both

translated various other scriptures of India.

Swami Nikhilananda:

Om. That is full; this is full. This fullness has been projected from

that fullness. When this fullness merges in that fullness, all tht

remains is fullness.

Om. Peace! Peace! Peace!

Swami Prabhavananda:

Filled with Brahman are the things we see,

Filled full with Brahman are the things we see not,

From out of Brahman floweth all that is:

From Brahman all -- yet is he still the same.

Om. Peace -- peace -- peace.

Though totally different translations, the meanings are clearly the

same.
