Guest guest
This scheme is really marvellous if ever it can be executed..Love begets love.....the eternal indian belief...terrorism comes from some deprivation.instead of reducing a already ravaged country..why not we alleviate them out of their distress and poverty... war can't be an end to terrorism...... --- Vivekananda Centre <vivekananda wrote: > An interesting post received by us...... > > Govert Schuller [schuller] > Sunday, September 30, 2001 11:15 AM > schuller > BOMB THEM WITH BUTTER > > > BOMB THEM WITH FOOD, BRIBE THEM WITH HOPE > > A military response, particularly an attack on > Afghanistan, is exactly what > the terrorists want. Guest guest
This is a one sided solution. Well do help the weak and pverty stricken people but at the same time you can't allow the predator to rome around freely. YOu may forgive a man-eating tiger but the tiger does not realise it. It will consider it as a sign of weakness and get emboldened. Raghav Mittal [raghav_iitkgp] Tuesday, 2 October 2001 8:32 PM Ramakrishna Re: [sri Ramakrishna] Bomb them with butter! Guest guest
In this entire discussion on non violent approach vs. aggression as an appropriate answer to terrorism we need to check back on the way Lord Krishna handled it as depicted in Mahabharata. He advocated peace and ultimately even went as an ambassador of peace to persuade the Kauravas. However when it did not work he unhesitantly backed military action. The only difference between then and now is that Lord Krishna 's (and Pandavas) purity of motive for war was undebatable and unselfish and there were no hidden agendas other the restoration of goodness.Today advocates of war and peace are both having their own motivations. Coming to the point I say that war or peace is not right or wrong in itself. It is the motivations which need to be put in the right place. Sometimes peace can be the biggest cruelty inflicted on mankind where what is needed is surgery. Any comments Pranams Dev Listen to your Mail messages from any phone. http://phone.
