The 3 Yogas

I have a few questions regarding the Bhagavad-Gita:

How would you describe the three yogas (karma-yoga-the discipline of action,

jnana-yoga-the discipline of knowledge, and bhakti-yoga-the discipline of

devotion)?

Are there any spots within the Bhagavad-Gita text that they are specifically

cited?

I was also alittle confused as to which path (of yoga/path of discipline) Arjuna

followed…was it all three?

Thank you for any help you might give.

Namaste,

To respond extremely briefly:

Gita Chapter 2, verses 12-38 are the core of j~naana yoga;

Ch. 2, v. 39-53 of karma yoga

Ch. 3, v. 1-43 "

Ch.12, v. 2-20 of bhakti yoga.

[Ch. 6, v. 1-47 of dhyaana yoga]

Many verses in all chapters have some references to these concepts.

Arjuna did practise elements of all the yogas, suited to his

situation.

Regards,

Sunder
