Guest guest
Divergent Feelings Orderly Disorder 'Press a bit harder,' said Joe, and I increased the pressure on the spring. The coiled simplicity rebelled and sprang lose from my grip hitting the glass bottle kept to lubricate finished contraption. The oil spilled over and ran into a narrow stream. Drop by drop it started trickling down on the collar of my coat loosely hanging below. I jumped to rescue the coat from further spoil when it got entangled in the tiny nail in the wood. And the precious coat gaped open to reveal its inner lining and I cursed my luck. Anger started boiling up within, and I shouted, 'Joe, you fool, why could you not handle the minor job of adjusting the spring? What a mess! Run and bring something to clean the oil.' And as Joe started on the errand, abruptly his toe got mixed up with the loose thready border of his trouser - jeans they call it - and as a result he stumbled over. As he was about to fall, he caught hold of Jenny standing nearby 'enjoying' our predicament. The unexpected heavy jerk caused her to stagger leftward and in the process the bamboo supporting the tent slipped laterally. And down came the whole structure crashing down on us. 'You, Joe! What are doing?' I shouted, when my little daughter entered lifting the thick canvas of the tent, and innocently said: 'Papa, has the " Tower " crashed?' And, indeed, our lives and this world are full of such diverse feelings. The totality cannot but express itself in infinite ways, and as the observers and interpreters are infinite, each is correct from his or her respective 'position' or 'station' in life. From the rung of evolutionary ladder the person happens to occupy, he or she sees one aspect of totality that he or she unwittingly believes to be true! To call one as 'the only truth' however would bring forth something different in its juxtaposition. Then, slowly, reluctantly, but surely the strangeness dawns amidst apparent order; is this world really real?
