Guest guest
The posting from Ananta on Talks of Vivekananda is:- " Just as we should be careful with the priests, so we should be careful with the scientists. Begin with disbelief. Analyze, test, prove everything and then take it. Some of the most current beliefs of modern science have not been proved. Even in such a science as mathematics, the vast majority of its theories are only working hypotheses. With the advent of greater knowledge they will all be thrown away. " Commentary:- This talk was given over a 100 years ago. We now have the unexpected imcompleteness theorem in maths.. We also have quantum mechanics in physics. These new theories are showing up the serious limitations in their respective disciplines. Yet the above critical comment was passed 100 years ago!
