Thakur's answer was something along the following lines: " Why control it...transfer it to a different direction " ,... the way i look at this piece of advice is that desire (sex, for example) is not something to be controlled...if one's mind dwells on God and Godliness, sex and other energies are naturally channeled into a 'different direction'. I am told that Latu (one of Thakurs favorite deciples) got married and often Thakur would send him home from Dakshineswar to be with his wife....fulfill desires ? Yes ! Get over desires ? Yes !
