Guest guest
Dear members, Discussion is on and on for non-sense topics like " desires " it would be a disgrace to the group if we continue on these non sense topics. According to vivekanada swamiji its time to throw away all our weakness gain more and more strength.first of all we should restrain our mind and words. swamiji also discouraged such discussions on our weakness. If we continue to discuss what ever come in the mind there would be no limit.impact would on the beginners like me who would search between the words of list member to generalize our the evil vasanas and start identifying with such non-sense worldly experiences contained topics like desires. As gurudeva teach us one all ways should associate and colour mind with good ideas. With exceptions, I am totally confused the way the group's selecting topics, I do not know for what purpose group stands for. With pardon and love Praveen
Guest guest
Namaste Milindji, Of course our culture and tradition is great and as all Hindus I am proud of it. as different from our religions one is free to challenge, doubt, disagree Hindu way of life and thoughts (there is no such thing exits as to be termed as Hinduism). Following ones own Darma while Accepting others is the Hindu way of life or Sanathana Dharma it has nothing to do with challenge, doubt, disagreement etc such things may come and go. I do not know how our people with great tradition led slave life for 1000 long years in our own mother land. it is rather confusing isn't it. it may be our Karma dosha. what ever it may. Yes there is some things to be learned from history. It is proved fact that This freedom to challenge, doubt, disagree is transgressed its limit. first obey then question, that should be our motto. I am living in southern most part India state of kerala (once termed by swamiji as fanatics-home).where the so called democratic and secular crowd live with such freedom take pride in win of Pakistan over India in a cricket match and favoring taliban in jihad against India. While such things happing around we are should not be discussing such non-sense topics like Desires. And even if we have such doubts raises it should be addressed to our Guru Only he can guide us, and not by discussing between list members(how can a blind would show path to another blind), and as long as we are in Maya we are not Gods we only servants of lord. Guest guest
Namaste, One whole section of the book " Teachings of Sri Ramakrishna " has the title : 'Conquest of Desires'. Every religion deals with this subject in depth. If someone thinks this is a non-sense topic, this forum may not be meant for such a person.
