The Hindu Experience or Emotions Associated With it.

Greetings,

I am doing a research paper on the six dimensions of Hinduism and I am stuck

on the emotional aspect of Hinduism. Being Western I'm not sure I can relate

to how one feels within this philosophy-Help!, please.

Also, may I quote you? Please include all the pertinent information.

Regards,

Geralyn Fitzgerald

Namaste,

It would be hard to find any finer descriptions of emotions

than those in Sri Ramakrishna's biography by Sw. Saradananda.

Sri Ramakrishna epitomised the very essence of Narada Bhakti

Sutras. He practised to perfection every single 'relationship' with

God that a human being is capable of [daasya, vaatsalya, madhuraa,

& c.] He described his experience of the eight-fold 'saatvika bhaava'

phenomena - sweating, choking, horripilation, etc.

Regards,

Sunder
