Guest guest
The article on indian roads is really funny and i really enjoyed it though initially i felt that it is a mockery on india's condintion. But truth has to be accepted. Well to Haribol, A warm welcome to you brother. I am happy to know that you are spritually inclined. Gurumaharaj really admired Chaithanya and infact few times he was in the state of samadhi after attending the bajans conducted by the devotees of Chaithanya. But his philosophy is much more than bakthi marga (which is the main ideology of ISCKON) He proved a combination of all the yogas will be more helpful. Sri Ramakrishna showed the whole world that all religion leads to a same path by practicing the other faiths sincerely. His teachings are simple and it produced wonderful personalities like Swami Vivekananda, Raja Maharaj, Swami Abedhananda, and the list goes on.,. To get more idea of the " Sri Ramakrishna movement " , i suggest initially you to read chapters from Columbo to almora or from Vol III of " complete works of swami vivekananda " and " Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna " . Visiting any Ashram in the nearby area will be more helpful. I fondly remember the story of swamiji in the parliment of religions where he mentioned a story of frog in a well and its argument towards a frog from the ocean about the magnitude of its well water than with that of the ocean. About Roy's note on swamiji's voice in a vinyl disc, i would like to point out that in Bangalore some Chinmaya mission devotee claimed that he is having Swamiji's Voice - that too the famous lecture on parliment of religions. But our ashram swamiji ruled out the possibility of that being the swamiji's voice. I do agree that few of the swamiji's articles are still scattered in all places of india. Once i was a part of a small team meant for recovering the swamiji's items(if any) in Madras as Madras ashrama was planning to convert the " Ice House " in to a museum (now it is a big museum). ( " Ice house " is the place where swamiji stayed in Madras.) During that search our team stumbled upon the stick used by Swami Vivekananda. It evoked a nice feeling in us. About Anand's suggestion on the online version of " Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna " it is advisible to get the permission of " Advita Ashrama " as they have the Copyright permission. I am sure we all enjoy to have an online version of that holy text.
