Guest guest
Hi - I have read something on the meeting of Dayananda with Sri Ramakrishna. I think they met with other famous personalities like Keshav Sen (Bramho Samaj) and others and at that time Dayananda said looking at Sri Ramakrishna that such personalities have digested the butter of the real religion and people like himself are just satisfied with the buttermilk. He wanted to express that religion must be experienced and not taught using mere books, scriptures or can not be achieved by mere following traditions blindly. I think he was sure that Sri Ramakrishnadev was having a very high state of religion. But What Swamiji (Vivekanandaji) and thakurji used to think about the Samaj, I have not came across it clearly. Hope this help a bit ... Regards. Or, does anybody know the Paramhansa's or Vivekananda's thoughts towards the Samaj? Any information would be greatly appreciated! -R
Guest guest
Namaste, Here is what Sw. Dayananda said of Thakur: http://www.kathamrita.org/apostle/m10_13.htm Seeing Keshab Sen and Dayananda, Sri Ramakrishna went into Samadhi. Vishwanath then asked Dayananda, `Maharaj, have you ever had such a state?' The truthful Dayananda replied, `No, I have the pride of learning. I am seeing for the first time in him, what I have read in the shastras.'
