some questions (important to me) ...

Hi -

 

I want to find out answers to some of my lame questions which I have in my mind.

Nobody could give clear explanation on that I unfortunately I didnot get any

time to get hold of any real good person from RK Mission. If anybody from

RKMission is ready to give it keeping Hinduism as a base I would relate to them

very easily. Some questions may be related with hindu religious concepts. Please

correct me if I am wrong in anyway -

 

1. Why we have to pray to our ONE personal deity / ishtadevata ?

 

I read that that we each has our own beloved deity to which we have to offer our

prayers. (Swami Brahmananda 'Rakhal Maharaj' has written something like this in

his - Sadhak, Sadhana ani Siddhi - translated marathi book from RKMath).

 

So in simple words we dont have to pray to different gods, we need to

concentrate on any one. Then the concept of comparison comes in my mind. My

question is - why cant I pray God I like ? (ie any form of God I like and I can

pray to Ganesha for his wisdom and Shiva for his any specific feature I like) If

the ultimate God is one then I may change my personal God any way and anytime I

want. What is the harm in that ?

 

2. How much percentage of our life or success is governed by our previous deeds

like the previous birth and the sins or good deeds done in the previous birth ?

Is there any value to my current intelligence for doing something and having its

fruits in this vary life ? Most people say that if something has happened bad

then that must be due to the bad deeds done in previous life. Then what about

the good done by anybody ? Or always we are doing bad only ??? (I hope you are

getting what I mean)

 

3. Does eating / diatery habits harm your spiritual life ? How much percentage

approx ? What Jesus Christ / Bible says on this, as most of the Christians eat

Non Veg ? Is this applicable to all or only to the advanced spiritual

practitioner ?

 

4. If my deeds are going to decide what I am going to be in future then what

happens to people working in fishing corporations or slauterhouse ? Take a small

example for consideration - if anybody for his livelihood catches fish then does

he have to bear the sins of killing so many thousand fish ? he is doing that to

feed himself as well as his family but then he can do any other job as well. Any

explanation on this ? So what decides the job of any person ? Aagain his past

deeds ???

 

5. If we read any sanskrit scriptures - always there is a comparison in that. If

we read anything about Shiva then Vishnu is shown small or inferior and vice

versa. Then normal person may become confused. So who is the ultimate one ? What

daily prayer we have to do ? Why this comparison ???

 

6. What you people think about - Paramhansa Yogananda's Kriya Yoga Meditation

Techniques ?
