Below is a question and some information from someone trying to locate a particular Swami Satchitananda from India. I thought that if anyone might know who he is you would. I know you will be put off by the bit about 'materialising' objects (as I am), but she sounds in earnest for the right reasons. Yours in Master and Mother, ANnapurna I met Swami Satchitananda about 1987; but he was not the American one, nor the one at " Yogaville " - and he was WONDERFUL. He is Indian, " materialises " objects sometimes, plays an accordion-type intstrument and sings, and the yoga he promotes is " kriya yoga " > Do you know who this one is, and where he lives? I met him at the East-West Centre, then at Old Street, London. I don't know if he had/has a center; I didn't see any literature; but he did have devotees who came, mostly Indian, living in England. One of them asked me if I wanted to study Kriya Yoga in London. I said that I had a path; and he smiled and said, Swami is very happy if people have a path. His hair was not grey, his eyes were such that I understood what sweetness really means - and that it is heaven; I also saw that he exemplified obedience, that he was perfectly obedient - to THAT WHICH he is. He seemed to be in his thirties, maybe early forties. - as I remember, he didn't speak, no, he didn't - he didn't speak English at all, and he didn't speak; he sang, and played the accordion. He " manifested " those small seeds that are knotty and are used as beads (at least, I was shown one of those by someone i knew there who loved him and who had told me he was coming). I can't remember now the name of the little gifts he gave out (as is common, not prasad is it? is that only used to refer to blessed food?) but it was threefold, a little bag divided into three strips; one had vibhuti, another, the red powder used to make the mark over the third eye -and now! I forget what the third was - rice????? I am pretty sure he must live in India. Thank you so much for this. peace Louise -- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .
